Job Description

Position: Senior Associate Solicitor: Litigation (5+ Years PQE)   Department: Commercial and General Civil Litigation   Location: Huntingdon   Salary: Negotiable but usually starts at around £50,000 Description: Our client's litigation team handles a diverse range of cases, encompassing personal injury, negligence, property litigation, as well as general civil and commercial disputes. We are currently seeking a Senior Associate Solicitor to join our dynamic team, focusing on commercial and general civil litigation matters.  Key Responsibilities: - Manage a mixed caseload of commercial and civil litigation matters, including shareholder disputes, debt recovery, contract disputes, and company disputes. - Collaborate effectively within a supportive team environment, while demonstrating leadership qualities when required. - Achieve billing, time, and fee earning targets, in compliance with the firm’s credit control arrangements. - Demonstrate excellent project and time management skills to efficiently handle complex cases. - Provide professional and strategic advice to clients, maintaining a confident and professional manner at all times. Key Requirements:  - Qualified lawyer with 5+ years of experience gained in a reputable legal practice, preferably with exposure to a Legal 500 firm. - Strong project management skills with proven ability to handle all stages of litigation from inception to resolution. - Confidence to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team setting. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanour. - Organised, competent, and ambitious individual with a proactive approach to work. Additional Experience (Desirable):  - Extensive experience in dealing with all manner of commercial and civil disputes, including drafting witness statements, preparing trial bundles, and conducting advocacy. - Familiarity with CPR rules and other procedural-related matters. - Experience in managing costs and budgets for litigation cases.
